Greenville
Age 35
I am passionate about helping make my community a better place for everyone, and I am grateful to have built a career in the nonprofit sector that allows me to do just that. Originally from Alabama, I lived throughout the Southeast before making Greenville my home in 2022. I hold a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University. As director of marketing at Community Foundation of Greenville, I have the privilege of using my skills to promote philanthropy and charitable giving that strengthen our community by supporting local nonprofits and the people they serve. Before joining the Community Foundation, I worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations, leading programs and managing volunteers. Beyond my professional role, I serve on the board of Greenville First Steps, am a member of Greenville Women Giving, and am a proud graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 51. Serving my community has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career, and I look forward to continuing that journey while instilling a commitment to service and community engagement in my two daughters.
Favorite Quote and Why: "Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is one of my favorite quotes because I believe that everyone can contribute to making the world a better place, regardless of their job or circumstances. I like to imagine a world where everyone strives to “make a career of humanity.”
