Hotel Hartness, the award-winning luxury boutique hotel located within the Hartness community, has officially transitioned to owner management, concluding its management agreement with Hay Creek Hotels and bringing hotel operations fully in-house.
The transition represents a natural evolution for the property as Hotel Hartness continues to build upon its reputation as one of the Southeast’s premier hospitality destinations. By assuming direct management, ownership will further align the hotel’s operations, guest experience, and long-term vision with the values that have defined the Hartness brand since its inception.
“Hotel Hartness was created to offer an experience deeply rooted in hospitality, community, and a sense of place,” said Sean Hartness, president and CEO of Hartness Development. “Bringing management in-house allows us to further strengthen that vision while maintaining the exceptional level of service and guest experience our visitors have come to expect.”
Since opening in 2022, Hotel Hartness has earned national recognition for its distinctive blend of luxury accommodations, thoughtful design, and personalized service. The 73-room property has been named among the top hotels in the country and the world by leading travel publications, including recognition on Travel + Leisure’s 2026 T+L 500 list.
Guests can expect a seamless transition, with no changes to current reservations, guest services, or daily operations. The existing leadership team, led by General Manager Glen Williams, remains firmly in place and continues to deliver the exceptional service and memorable experiences that have established Hotel Hartness as a premier destination for leisure travelers, corporate retreats, weddings, and special events.
“Our leadership team has been integral to the success of Hotel Hartness since its earliest days, and that continuity is key to maintaining the elevated standards our guests expect,” said Glen Williams, general manager of Hotel Hartness. “We remain deeply committed to delivering distinctive, highly personalized experiences while thoughtfully evolving to enhance every aspect of the guest journey.”
“While the management structure is evolving, our commitment to exceptional hospitality remains unwavering,” said Michael Bonasia, director of sales & marketing for Hotel Hartness. “Since the pre-opening phase, our team has been deeply focused on delivering a guest- and client-centric experience rooted in what we call Hartness Hospitality. Guests can continue to expect the same level of personalized service, meticulous attention to detail, and authentic experiences that define Hotel Hartness, alongside thoughtful enhancements designed to further elevate the overall guest experience.”
