Greenville Convention Center announced the appointment of Kane Shearer as general manager of food and beverage.

Shearer brings more than 20 years of experience leading high-volume restaurants, sports and entertainment venues, family entertainment centers, and destination attractions to the role. He will oversee all food and beverage operations at the venue, including revenue growth, guest experience, and team development initiatives.

Shearer's appointment reflects the Convention Center's continued investment in its hospitality offerings for events and guests alike. Shearer joins the Greenville Convention Center following a career spanning entertainment-focused leadership roles, collegiate athletics, and national hospitality brands. His background includes a senior role with ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment, where he supported operations at venues including Lakeview Amphitheater and Clemson University Athletics, along with seasonal support for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Blue Jays, University of Tennessee, and LEGOLAND.

His experience in budgeting, contract negotiations, and operational excellence is expected to strengthen the Greenville Convention Center's food and beverage program as its event calendar continues to grow.

"I'm excited to bring my experience in hospitality and entertainment operations to the Greenville Convention Center," Shearer said. "This venue is incredible, and I look forward to building a food and beverage program that matches the caliber of the events it hosts."

He holds a people-first leadership philosophy built around three principles: empowering teams through coaching and mentorship, creating scalable systems and disciplined financial management, and enhancing guest experiences through strategic thinking and innovation.

"Kane brings exactly the kind of experience we need to elevate our food and beverage program," said Matt Hollander, general manager of the Greenville Convention Center. "He's led operations at multiple large venues across the country, and that depth of experience will help us deliver the kind of guest experience our clients and visitors expect."
