What makes you an effective leader? What are you still working on?

I’m passionate about helping people and organizations grow within my community, with a focus on developing the next generation of emerging leaders. This passion enables me to easily connect individuals and organizations for relationships that support growth and collaboration. I’m an effective multitasker and leader who thrives in dynamic environments — perfect for the chamber world! But I do struggle with setting boundaries and learning to say no so I can prioritize time and energy more effectively.

What would you say is your greatest professional accomplishment to date?

I’m proud of helping lead and grow the Chamber from a remote office that included a climate-controlled storage unit, into a 2,000-square-foot facility with a staff of three serving a growing membership of 400 and the East Cooper community. I’ve listened to our members to create sustainable programs for the broader membership, as well as targeted initiatives supporting Veterans, Women, and Young Professionals. This progress reflects our mission of “Building Business East of the Cooper.”
