After 20+ years in marketing and advertising, Rebeca Ortega fell in love with brewing. When the opportunity arose to purchase a local homebrew supply store and nanobrewery, she and her wife jumped at the chance. As an all-female owned brewery in South Carolina, Ortega enjoys sharing her passion with others by offering classes and events about fermentation. With an emphasis on customer service and quality, her small-batch beers have resulted in a five-star Google rating for the brewery.
A leader is someone who has the ability to see the full picture in front of them, and put their team into positions that will generate success based on their skill set. They take the time to understand what makes their team tick, and they're someone who’s never too big to do the little things that are required. Leadership comes from honest communication and an openness for self-reflection.
Ensuring that your core group of customers is satisfied. New business is wonderful to attract, but not at the expense of cutting corners for existing customers. The more you take care of your core, the more people they will bring into the fold because they want to share you with the world.
