Colliers | South Carolina said David M. Feild has assumed the role of chief executive officer.
Feild, who was named president in 2024, succeeds John W. Folsom, who has led the company as CEO for 31 years.
Folsom will transition to the role of non-executive chairman of the board, continuing his presence within the company and community.
With more than 25 years of commercial real estate expertise, Feild has played a large role in driving the company’s growth and success.
During his 11-year tenure as market leader for Colliers’ Greenville-Spartanburg offices, he guided the company in the Upstate region through significant expansion across all service lines.
As president, he has continued cultivating innovation and deepening the company’s impact across South Carolina.
“I am honored to lead Colliers | South Carolina into this next chapter,” said Feild. “John Folsom has built an incredible legacy, and I am committed to advancing our mission of delivering exceptional service to our clients while investing in the communities we call home.”
Feild added, “Together with our talented team, we will continue to build on our 119-year history and drive the success of our clients, colleagues and communities.”
Feild has served as board chair of Ten at the Top, is a current board member of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and is a 2024 graduate of Leadership South Carolina.
A Furman University alumnus, Feild remains engaged as a Riley Fellow and former Alumni Association Board member.
Officials said Folsom will continue to provide strategic guidance and maintain key client relationships.
He will also remain active in community leadership, including positions with the Midlands Business Leadership Group, Certified Development Corporations, Salute from the Shore and the Columbia Airport Commission.
“Leading Colliers has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Folsom. “I am confident that David’s leadership will ensure our continued success and strategic growth as a company dedicated to serving our clients and communities across South Carolina and shaping the commercial real estate landscape.”
