Liberty Fellowship, the South Carolina-based leadership program, announced on July 15 that it has named Tycely Williams as its new CEO.
Williams comes to the fellowship from the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C., where she served as chief development officer, crafting strategies to promote health, security, and opportunity for all Americans.
She replaces Ann Marie Stieritz, who announced earlier this year that she would be stepping down from her role at Liberty Fellowship.
Williams begins her role July 22, as the organization celebrates its 20th year. A Charleston resident, Williams has worked as chief development officer for America’s Promise Alliance and as chief development officer for the American Red Cross National Capital Region.
She chairs the governing boards of the Nonprofit Alliance Foundation and the YWCA National Capital Area.
“Tycely is a national award-winning consensus builder who shares our passion for South Carolina and for bringing together different leadership perspectives in dialogue and action,” said Kerri Forrest, vice chair of the Liberty Fellowship board of directors. “We are thrilled to welcome her to Liberty Fellowship.”
Liberty Fellowship, which is affiliated with the Aspen Institute, works to activate individual leaders through a deeper understanding of a just, free and equitable society; serves as a convener for bringing together diverse perspectives to advance civil discourse; and provides infrastructure for taking action.
