Greenville’s ACL Airshop Signs Agreement with Western Global Airlines 

Western Global Airlines, one of the fastest-growing cargo carriers in the world, has confirmed a five-year ULD (Unit Load Device) agreement with ACL Airshop, based in Greenville, S.C., a leading international service partner for outsourced ULD management and customized logistics solutions.

Western Global Airlines and ACL Airshop are working together to measurably enhance the logistics efficiencies of Western Global's ULD fleet, including the introduction of ULD Control for real-time tracking of ULDs. That, combined with ACL's global Operations Center and the FindMyULD mobile app all operate together for better utilization rates and cost efficiencies for client airlines that use ACL's technology suite.

Western Global Airlines, headquartered in Estero, Florida, is structured for high flexibility and responsiveness to their customers' evolving needs worldwide, including last-minute changes.

They own all their 19 wide-body aircraft and engines, maintain an extensive parts inventory, and provide in-house maintenance support. Western Global created Team WGA – a people-friendly environment where teamwork, cooperation, and excellence throughout the company are encouraged and rewarded.

Peak Performance Team Merges With PCF Insurance Services of the West

Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions adviser for privately held businesses, announces the merger of its client, Peak Performance Team, Inc. with PCF Insurance Services of the West, LLC.

The acquisition closed on July 15, 2022.

Peak Performance Team (PPT), located in Surfside Beach, S.C., is a boutique provider of custom Finance and Insurance (F&I) products and wealth-building solutions for independent and franchised automotive, power sports, and recreational vehicle dealers nationwide.

PPT’s products include a variety of customizable F&I products which include extended warranties, vehicle service contracts, gap insurance and various ancillary offerings. The true advantage of PPT is its ability to create customized and flexible programs for each of its dealer partners.

Located in Lehi, Utah, PCF Insurance Services of the West (PCF) offers insurance and risk management programs along with continuous education regarding market, coverage and regulatory changes, enabling clients to effectively navigate the complex and changing insurance marketplace.

They are the second-largest acquirer of insurance agencies in the U.S., owning over 144 individual agencies.

A top 20 U.S. brokerage firm, PCF provides a broad array of commercial, employee benefits, personal lines and specialty insurance solutions.

Amir Gerges Joins Anti-Money Laundering Team at First National Bank

 First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of FNB Corporation (NYSE: FNB), announced that it has hired Amir Gerges as Senior Vice President and Director of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Risk Management.

Playing an important role in FNB’s compliance efforts, Gerges oversees operations that uncover activity meant to disguise illicit funds and is responsible for leading the design and implementation of risk management solutions.

He will partner with leadership to ensure AML efforts align with FNB’s strategic objectives. Based in Pittsburgh, Gerges reports to Theodore Zelch, Managing Director of AML Risk Management.

Joining FNB with more than two decades of experience, Gerges has served as an AML and sanctions advisor for PNC and in an enterprise risk management role for BNY Mellon.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Florida State University, his Master of Arts in mathematics and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Rice University. Gerges has been a Certified AML Specialist (CAMS) since 2008 and Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) since 2011.

FNB operates in North Carolina, South Carolina, and several other states.

MUSC Physician Recognized for Cardiology Work

Dr. Bhavadharini Ramu of Medical University of South Carolina received the Award for Excellence for her presentation, “Sex-Based Outcomes After Implantation of a Fully Magnetically Levitated Left Ventricular Assist Device.”
