What is the one thing that you would want others to know about your company?

We realize no one wakes up in the morning excited or wanting to call a plumber or HVAC company. Therefore, from every step of the interaction, we aim to make this the most positive service experience possible.

How do you manage fast growth? What advice would you give to a company in growth mode? 

Continue to focus on core operations. Don't take your eye off of the ball or get distracted by "shiny objects." Focus on KPIs and have a strong management team in place.

What lessons did you learn the hard way? If you could go back five or 10 years, what advice would you tell yourself?

Trust your instinct. If it feels off or odd, it likely is. Likely hiring is where I learned this the most, thinking I needed a position and just plugging someone in the spot rather than finding the right person. Don't take the easy way out, but search for and select the right fit. 

Have you acquired or merged with a company as part of your growth plan? What advice would you give to a company considering the same?

Yes, we have made two acquisitions and are interested in more. Advice would be: find a company with a good base of customers, a solid team in place and one where you can add value with the core functions of your business. 

What marketing tips would you offer other companies? 

Consistently market! Don't do it only when business is down. Have a plan and stick to it. Commit to spending the dollars consistently! Include a call to action!

What is the secret to your success?

No secret. Work hard. Focus on progress, not perfection. Have an ongoing commitment to being a little bit better today than you were yesterday.
