Charity Ball Board Of Greenville Opens Grant Application Process For 2019 Rose Ball

The Charity Ball Board of Greenville will be accepting Letters of Intent from qualifying nonprofit organizations to receive funding from the 2019 Rose Ball in early January. The Letter of Intent form will be available on the website, www.theroseball.org, on January 1, 2019 and completed forms should be emailed to [email protected] by January 15, 2019. The Rose Ball Beneficiaries Committee will review all letters of intent and select agencies for consideration for grants.

To be eligible, organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A full list of guidelines for the grant application process can be found at www.theroseball.org/grants.

The proceeds from the Rose Ball are distributed throughout the community with the St. Francis Health System receiving 50 percent of the funding and the other 50 percent going to select nonprofits. Grants for the 2017 Rose Ball ranged between $7,500 and $20,000. Over the past forty-seven years, the Rose Ball has raised more than $3,600,000 to benefit the physical, emotional, educational, environmental, and cultural needs of the people of Greenville County.
