Tapping into the region’s growing appreciation and love for tacos and good tequila,  High Spirits Events is hosting the second annual Tacos & Tequila Fiesta in downtown Greenville presented by Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila.

This food and drink celebration will occur on Sunday, March 25 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Old Cigar Warehouse, 912 S. Main Street, Greenville. More than 800 people attended last year’s event and enjoyed tacos and drinks from 16 regional restaurants both inside and outside the historic downtown event venue.

Tickets for the event go on sale on Feb. 1, 2018 and can be purchased at www.tacotequilafiesta.com. VIP tickets are $55 each and include 10 tequila tasting tokens at the event and early admission at 3 p.m., while the general tickets are $40 in advance and $50 day of and include eight tequila tasting tokens and a 4 p.m. admission. Tacos & Tequila is capping the number of tickets at 1,200, and VIP tickets sold out in 24 hours last year.

All attendees must be 21 years of age or older and have ID on them to enter the event. In addition to the drink tickets, there will be cash bars on site.  Any restaurants or bartenders who wish to take part in the 2018 Tacos & Tequila Fiesta can go to www.tacotequilafiesta.com. 

Local judges will vote on the best taco, the best sidekick (side dish or dessert), and the best cocktail using Lunazul 100% Agave Tequila in order to win the coveted Golden Sombrero Award. In addition to the Judge’s Awards, there will be a People’s Choice Award and Social Media Star Award for the bartenders and chefs that will be tabulated using social media components. The event will also feature a costume contest, nacho game zone, live music and more.
