Greenville Tech to Participate in Giving Tuesday

Nov 17, 2017 10:10AM ● By Emily Stevenson

Greenville Technical College will participate in the Giving Tuesday movement on Nov. 28 this year for the first time to raise money for providing scholarships, furnishing labs and classrooms, and meeting unmet critical needs of students. These donations support the college’s mission of transforming lives and helping the community thrive through education.

Each dollar donated to the Greenville Tech Foundation makes a difference.

Here are some examples:

  • A $10 gift can purchase bus tickets, allowing a student to get to class
  • A $10 gift can purchase safety glasses for an automotive student
  • A $35 gift can pay for a background check required for future teachers in the Early Care & Education program
  • A $125 gift can buy defibrillation cables for health science students
  • A $150 gift can purchase a case of gloves for a health science major
  • A $250 gift can pay for uniforms and clinical supplies for a student studying respiratory care
  • A $1,500 gift can pay for the equipment kit that a Dental Assistant student needs
The Greenville Tech Foundation invites supporters to give on Tuesday, November 28 through a secure online form.
