McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture earned the #4 spot nationally on the Zweig Group’s 2017 Best Firms to Work For List. This award recognizes architecture and engineering firms based on workplace practices, employee benefits, retention rates, and other cultural indicators of success.

The firm also placed at #16 on the Zweig Group’s 2017 Hot Firms List, which has recognized the 100 fastest-growing architecture firms in the United States for more than 20 years. The firm’s first appearance on this list, the ranking is based on both dollar and percentage revenue growth rates over a three-year period.

“As a firm that embraces the importance of both beauty and functionality in our designs, we continue to see incredible results across each of our firm’s studios,” said Chad Cousins, the firm’s COO. “In large part, this success goes back to our commitment to recruiting truly talented team members with a diversity of life experiences, helping them become experts in their vertical market sectors, and supporting them with a culture of collaboration and engagement.”

The firm lists several key markers of cultural health, including team members’ deep diversity of experience, firm leadership’s consistent commitment to technology, and a widespread belief in cross-studio engagement. Representatives of the firm received the honors alongside architecture and engineering peers at Zweig Group’s annual industry conference in Seattle, Wash.
