Website redesign launches for TGHA

Sep 13, 2017 01:24PM ● By Kathleen Maris

The Greenville Housing Authority recently launched a new website (www.tgha.net) which features a new responsive design and more functionality. The new site also features new logos for the two nonprofits that manage the RAD & LIHTC developments: Greenville Re-development Corp (GRDC) and Greenville Area Housing Corp (GAHC).

Executive Director Ivory Mathews noted: “The Greenville Housing Authority’s website is vital to the agency’s ability to communicate to our residents, our commissioners & the public at large. Our website has new content added at least once per week, so the content is continually up to date and useful. We have added additional portals that facilitate online payments & more access overall to information quickly. In the future, we will continue to improve our website as technology changes. All residents, landlords, and the general public are encouraged to visit the site www.TGHA.net and sign up for upcoming events, news and more.”

Some of the new features added with the redesign include:

  • Addition of TGHA’s two nonprofit organizations and their logos - Greenville Re-development Corp (GRDC) and Greenville Area Housing Corp (GAHC)
  • Access to all 6 portals offered by TGHA on the home page of the website: Applications, Resident’s Pay Online, Participants/Residents, Landlords, Board Portal, and Staff Portal
  • E-News feed from the home page now features three articles for quick review of the latest news posted on the site with archives of older articles
  • Calendar of Events feed from the home page now shows 5 upcoming Calendar entries on the home page (all link to a more detailed interactive calendar within the site) for quick review of the next upcoming events
  • Addition of a Poll Question to allow online surveys for the public to complete
  • Share Feature - All pages of the website can now be “shared” using the “share widget” at the top of the website. Share options include sharing via email, social media, printing and more

Existing features retained on the new site:

  • Residents pages including information for residents/participants, family self-sufficiency (FSS), pay online, job search, and benefit bank
  • Housing, HCV/Section 8 and Landlord pages including a form to submit a rental property for consideration in the Landlord program
  • Publishing to subscribers via text/email
  • Sign Up for News
  • Social media integration, so content added to the site can be posted to social media without leaving the admin section of the website
  • Quick links in the header for the Housing Authorities social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Procurement and Resources
  • Locations Map – Find housing properties in your area by type of property
