Join Fostering Great Ideas for an evening of clacking tiles, good eats, and community giving this December 9.
Old Colony Furniture, located at 3411 Augusta Road in Greenville, will be hosting a Mahjong Party to benefit Fostering Great Ideas. For experienced players, the party starts at 4 p.m., but beginners can take part in a complimentary Intro to Mahjong class that starts at 4:15 p.m.
Little Leaf Coffee will be serving up cozy drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be available for everyone to enjoy.
Individual tickets are $75, and a table of 4 is $250. Attendees who make an additional donation of $20 or more are automatically entered into the raffle, and tables of four automatically receive four raffle entries.
Raffle prizes include:
1st place: a Fairfield drink table and a $250 gift card to Old Colony Furniture.
2nd place: a Keva mahjong set with a mahjong mat.
3rd place: a Furbish Studio mahjong pillow and portable lamp.
Old Colony Furniture will additionally be collecting gift cards for Fostering Great Ideas sibling visits. The Fostering Great Ideas Sib-Link program brings together brothers and sisters separated in foster care for regular monthly visits, which allows their lifelong bonds to stay strong. Sib-Link coordinates more than 800 sibling visits each year. Donations of $25 - $30 gift cards for kid-friendly restaurants (Chick-fil-A, Moe's, Panera, etc.) are greatly appreciated, and a gift card donation automatically enters you into the raffle.
RSVP is requested by Dec 3, and can be done through this link (https://givebutter.com/old-colony-mahjong).
