Novant Health has named Doug Erwin corporate affairs manager for its Greenville and Asheville markets, further strengthening the organization’s leadership team as it grows across the Western Carolinas. In this role, Erwin will lead the sourcing, planning and implementation of community engagement initiatives, sponsorships and strategic partnerships designed to support Novant Health’s growing brand presence in new regions.
His work will focus on building meaningful relationships, identifying charitable and in-kind opportunities and developing programs that support healthier communities.
Erwin brings extensive experience in brand building, sponsorship marketing and community development. He most recently served as vice chairman and chief brand officer for the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club and Greenville Liberty Soccer Club, where he led marketing, communications and fan engagement efforts that strengthened the clubs’ regional presence and community impact. His background also includes leadership roles focused on fostering business growth and creative collaboration in the Upstate.
“I’ve always believed that strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships,” said Erwin. “Novant Health has an incredible opportunity to grow in the Greenville and Asheville areas in a way that is thoughtful, authentic and community-driven. I’m excited to help build relationships that not only elevate our brand, but more importantly, support better access to care and healthier outcomes across the Carolinas.”
As corporate affairs manager, Erwin will partner with local organizations, nonprofits and community leaders to ensure Novant Health is actively engaged in the communities it serves. He will support events, sponsorships and outreach efforts across the Asheville-toGreenville corridor as the organization continues investing in expanded access to care.
“Doug brings a valuable combination of brand strategy, community insight and partnership development experience,” said Ashley Holbrook, director of external relations for Novant Health growth regions. “As we expand our presence in the Western Carolinas, his ability to build trusted relationships and create meaningful community connections will be instrumental in establishing Novant Health as a long-term partner in health.”
Erwin’s appointment reflects Novant Health’s continued commitment to growing with purpose, building not only facilities and services, but strong, lasting partnerships that support the health and vitality of the communities it serves.
