JR Automation, a Hitachi Group company and global leader in intelligent automation, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Automation Technology Center in Greenville, South Carolina, on Nov. 4, expanding the company’s capacity to help manufacturers design, build, optimize, and sustain increasingly intelligent and connected operations.
The new Automation Technology Center includes 186,755 square feet of automation build space and 28,996 square feet of office and breakroom space, providing more than 215,000 total square feet to support JR Automation’s growing global operations. The company has invested approximately $15.5 million in establishing and expanding the new facility.
“The investment in Greenville represents more than additional capacity. It strengthens our ability to support customers across their entire manufacturing operation,” said Yusuke Kazama, CEO of JR Automation. “Our foundation is deep expertise in automation, engineering, and manufacturing. By combining that strength with digital technology, data and AI, including Physical AI, we have an opportunity to help customers not only build better production systems, but continuously improve how those systems operate.”
Approximately 100 employees currently work at the new Automation Technology Center, with capacity to grow the Greenville team as the business expands.
The facility was designed to support the full life cycle of increasingly complex automation programs, bringing engineering, integration, project execution, and customer collaboration together in an environment designed for greater efficiency, flexibility, and growth.
