The addition of the dessert brands marks another step in Aston’s commitment to curating a mix of tenants that enhance the needs and experiences of the Powdersville community.
The 1,400-square-foot store, owned and operated by Anderson, South Carolina native Akash Patel will feature freshly baked cookies, brownies, and cookie cakes from Great American Cookies, alongside Marble Slab Creamery’s hand-mixed ice creams, shakes, and other customizable treats. The shop will also feature custom-decorated cookie and ice cream cakes, making it a family-friendly destination for celebrations or everyday indulgences alike.
“Aston is committed to bringing a diverse group of high-quality retailers to Powdersville Plaza, and Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery fit perfectly into that vision,” said Barnes Connell, managing director of Aston. “Their concept adds to the growing momentum at the center as we reinvest in modernizing the property and better serving the Powdersville community.”
Patel shared his enthusiasm about opening the dual storefront. “We’re excited to bring these beloved brands to the community,” said Patel “The area has been growing quickly, and we look forward to offering a welcoming place where families and friends can enjoy fresh desserts together.”
The new tenant joins a broader redevelopment effort at Powdersville Plaza, which includes the construction of a new Publix and the renovation of Ken Shuler’s School of Cosmetology. Aston’s investment aims to reposition the center as a vibrant hub for residents, shoppers, and visitors alike.
