Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) welcomed local first responders to its Greenville office in recognition of National First Responders Day.

Firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics and 911 dispatchers from the city and county were honored by Fluor employees at its offices off of Halton Rd.

“We wanted to take time to say thank you to our local heroes, let them know how grateful we are for their service and get to know them better,” said Felix Alvarado, general manager of Fluor’s Greenville office. “Sometimes we take for granted the peace of mind these selfless individuals grant us by being just a phone call away. They put everything aside to serve us and for this we are eternally grateful.”

“Not only is this a day to honor and recognize the brave men and women who are the first to respond to emergencies, but to also pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in the line of duty,” said Luke Bell, director of facility management for Fluor’s Greenville office. “We are grateful for their sacrifices and honor their service to our communities.”

Congress officially designated October 28 as National First Responders Day in 2017.
