Countybank Donates Over $70,000 to Local United Way Chapters in the Upstate

Countybank employees and Countybank Foundation recently came together in support of local United Way organizations and raised $73,167 — exceeding their original goal of $56,500.

Officials with the company say that community involvement has been a longstanding focus of Countybank and its employees.  In addition to sponsoring community events and raising funds for meaningful causes, Countybank employees collectively volunteer thousands of hours each year to activities that support a variety of local organizations.

“Our achievement in raising donations for United Way is a powerful example of what happens when a community chooses to care,” said Patrice Freeman, financial center manager in Greenwood.  “The contribution isn’t just a dollar amount; it represents students encouraged, meals provided, families supported, and neighbors given hope.

Countybank’s donation to United Way will help support initiatives focused on early childhood education, financial independence and stability, health services, and emergency needs, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the communities they serve. “At Countybank, giving back is ingrained into who we are,” said Freeman. “We believe strong communities create strong futures, and we are passionate about investing in organizations like United Way that make a real, lasting impact right here at home.”
