Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Fredericksburg

Posted Tuesday, December 23, 2025 5:39 pm

Big Brothers Big Sisters' one-to-one mentoring program empowers youth to thrive!

We help children experience success in school, make positive choices, and improve their self-confidence by providing children with mentors that leave a BIG impact. Our program is designed to help children and teens achieve their full potential. We believe that by providing a caring and supportive mentor, we can make a difference in the lives of children and our community.

ELIGIBILITY FOR LITTLE ENROLLMENT - Who we serve:

- Children who live in our service area – City of Fredericksburg, and the Counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George or Caroline.

- Are between the ages of 6-13 at the time of enrollment.

- Want to spend time with a Big Brother or Big Sister.

- Agree to a minimum of a one-year time commitment.

Igniting, empowering, and defending potential all starts with the right role models! For over 50 years, we’ve been able to recruit, screen, match and support mentoring relationships that have changed the lives of thousands of area children — one Big & Little at a time.
