McAfee Grief Seminar- For General Public
“Finding Our Way: Grief, Resilience, and Growth in Difficult Times”
Loss, and with its mental and physical pain so familiar to bereaved persons, is an unescapable part of life. Yet, grief is now understood to be a natural condition- the human reaction to loss- and for most people is expected to abate over time and lead to psychological growth. However, the COVID pandemic has made coping with grief difficult, bringing the loss of many traditional healing bereavement rituals and sources of social support, economic instability, and other general stressors that make adaption to our losses more challenging.
Join us as we learn together to better understand grief and navigate our personal pathways through loss. We will explore ideas and experiences that can help us live with hope and find potential for growth in the wake of life’s losses.
