Countybank Foundation Presents $1,500 To Greer Cultural Arts Council

Kevin Duncan, Greer city executive for Countybank, recently presented a check for $1,500 to the Greer Cultural Arts Council. The donation was given on behalf of the Countybank Foundation, which was established in 1971 and represents Countybank and Greenwood Capital.

The donation will support affordable arts opportunities in Greer, including theatre productions, camps, and classes in art, dance, drama, literature, and music. “The Greer Cultural Arts Council provides an important cultural outlet to our community,” said Duncan. “Their work brings our community’s families together while highlighting talent in our area.”

The Greer Cultural Arts Council aims to enrich the Greater Greer community by providing affordable arts opportunities through exposure, education, and outreach. In addition to its children’s theatre, the Greer Cultural Arts Council hosts several shows each year. The Greer Children’s Theatre offers beginner and advanced theatre camp, and classes in the arts, dance, drama, literature, and music are available throughout the year.

“Countybank and Greenwood Capital have been instrumental in financially supporting our class offerings to the community,” said Robin Byouk, cultural arts supervisor for the Greer Cultural Arts Council. “Our hope is that we are able to enrich the lives of Greer citizens through educational courses and theatrical performances.”
