Jervey Eye Group, PA announces that it has recently opened a new facility for advanced intraocular surgery and comprehensive eye care services at 5 Stevens Street in Greenville. This office and surgery center replaces its 1 Doctors Drive office.

Jervey’s newest location provides an enhanced environment for both patients and staff through an increase in space and a contemporary aesthetic. The space includes 25 exam rooms, three operating rooms, and a laser surgery suite, totaling more than 32,000 square feet.

“The ever-growing nature of the Upstate region and Jervey Eye Group’s ties to Greenville are the perfect combination to make this new location a success,” said Len Denaro, CEO of Jervey Eye Group. “We are eager to provide our patients with the best possible customer experience in a beautiful new space.”

Jervey’s Eye Care Center offers routine check-up services, glasses and contact lens fittings, a full-service retail optical department, and expert comprehensive and subspecialty physicians. Consultations are provided to detect and treat conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other vitreoretinal disease, as well as cornea and external disease, neuro-ophthalmologic conditions, and advanced cataract evaluations and surgery. State-of-the-art diagnostic technology complements the expertise of the Jervey physicians. The extensive space and increase in exam rooms reduces wait time and will allow for an overall improved experience between patients and their care provider.

Jervey Eye Group plans to perform more than 3,000 successful outpatient procedures each year in its Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), including cataract extraction, intraocular lens (IOL) placement, eye muscle surgery, cornea transplant, retinal surgery, glaucoma surgery, and LASIK. The new location’s three operating rooms utilize a variety of advanced state-of-the-art equipment such as the Bausch and Lomb Victus Femtosecond Laser to perform capsulotomies, lens fragmentation, arcuate incisions, corneal incisions, and LASIK flaps. Jervey’s ASC has received accreditation by numerous organizations, including Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and Medicare/Medicaid, and it is also licensed by the Department of Health and Environmental (DHEC).

The building was constructed by Yeargin Potter Smith and was designed by David Smith. Interior design was done by Kathy Lensor Interiors.
