Nov 14, 2018 10:04AM ● By Kathleen Maris

ReFrame Association, a network of volunteer-based home repair organizations throughout the country, recently honored Rebuild Upstate with its third Best Practices Award in the past five years. Best Practice awards recognize excellence in five different areas. Rebuild Upstate is being recognized as the recipient of the 2018 Best Practice Award in the category of Stewardship of Volunteers.

Rebuild Upstate has been engaged with the ReFrame Association since its start in 2011. The ReFrame Association was created to provide resources and community to nonprofits providing home repair and home improvements. When the association was formally founded in 2013, Rebuild Upstate was one of nine charter members. Previous best practice awards received include electronic marketing and community partnership.

The Stewardship of Volunteers Award is awarded to agencies that show excellence in volunteer recruitment, retention, and appreciation.

“This award is a testament to our staff’s dedication to ensuring volunteers have a great volunteer experience every time,” said Chris Manley, Rebuild Upstate’s president/CEO and founder. “As a result of this focus, we have been blessed with amazing volunteers who daily change lives through home repairs for the families we serve.”
