May 09, 2018 02:50PM ● By Kathleen Maris

As part of its fundraising campaign for the 2018 March of Dimes, March for Babies, SPINX will host its annual Grillapalooza event next Wednesday, May 16th. The event will start at noon and be held at “The 500 Club” in the Greenville Drive’s Fluor Field. The event includes an all-you-can-eat lunch, live entertainment, raffles, games and prizes. Pre-sale tickets are $25 each or $30 at the gate.

In honor of the March of Dimes’ 80th anniversary and its 80s theme this year, DEPARTURE – The Journey Tribute Band will perform at Grillapalooza. The lunch will include hamburgers, Greenville Drive’s Mac ‘N Cheese Dog, barbecue rib tips, beans, chips, cookies, ice cream, and soft drinks.

“Grillapalooza started out eight years ago as a small cookout in the parking lot of our Support Center. The goal of Grillapalooza has always been to raise a few extra dollars for the March of Dimes and have fun with fellow teammates, but it has grown over the years, and this year it will be bigger and better than ever,” said SPINX President Stan Storti, who is also the 2018 Chairman for the Greenville March of Dimes March for Babies. “By partnering with the Greenville Drive and opening the event up to the public this year, we hope to not only raise more funds to support the March of Dimes but also raise awareness of its ongoing efforts to fight for the health and well-being of moms and their babies.”

As a community-centric business, SPINX is dedicated to supporting local organizations that focus on improving the lives of children in the communities it serves.
