As a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives for South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District, Trey Gowdy chaired the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He served on the House Committees on Intelligence and Ethics. He also served on the Judiciary Committee, where he served as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations. He was involved in the Benghazi and Russian investigations, two of the most significant congressional investigations in the last decade. An experienced trial lawyer, Gowdy is a former state and federal prosecutor.
