Greenlink Fare Free Day and Gallery Viewing
Greenlink is partnering with the Jolley Foundation and the Piedmont Health Foundation to offer Fare Free Friday on Friday, March 1. This special Fare Free Friday is designed to coincide with a gallery viewing of photographs from GREENVILLE FACES: TRANSIT, a recent photography project documenting transit riders’ experiences and stories.
On October 10, 2018, professional and amateur photographers rode Greenlink buses, interviewed transit customers, and took their photos. The resulting photographs will be on display at the Greenlink Transit Center terminal (100 W. McBee Ave) from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1. The viewing is free and open to the public.
According to Piedmont Health Foundation executive director Katy Smith, the goal of this Fare Free Friday event is to celebrate the Greenlink customers who were the subjects of the photographs and encourage new passengers to use Greenlink to attend the gallery viewing.
Greenlink passengers can use the Google Transit application at www.ridegreenlink.com to plan their free trips on March 1. Customers are also encouraged to download the FindGreenlink app in the Android or iOS app store to get real-time arrival information of the buses.
