On Wednesday, Jan 16, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., the SC Disability Employment Coalition will host a free employment workshop for individuals with disabilities in Spartanburg, South Carolina, entitled “Disability Benefits & Employment: Make It Work for You!”. The workshop will explore myths of how work affects disability benefits and will be held at Spartanburg Community College’s Downtown Campus. The workshop is part of the Hire Me SC campaign, a multi-year, statewide workforce development campaign to change the culture of disability employment. State and private organizations will be on site to discuss the services they offer to individuals with disabilities who are interested in returning to work or increasing their earnings.
