Mapping for a Change: Addressing Challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa
Please join Furman University and World Affairs Council Upstate for a 5:30 p.m. networking reception with drinks and heavy appetizers followed by a lecture with Furman Professor Dr. Suresh Muthukrishnan's at 6:30 p.m.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, increasing population size is putting more strain on these under-developed countries, putting people at risk for disease and illness. Muthukrishnan spent a year in Malawi through the Fulbright U.S. Scholarship conducting research in combating these issues. In his presentation, Muthukrishnan will discuss his work in addressing these complicated issues through the use of G.I.S (Geographical Information Systems).
