10 Questions with Adela Mendoza

A Networking Event

Greenville is a growing city, new construction and widening highways are allowing an influx of people to make Greenville home. But what are we doing for our minority populations of the city, specifically the Hispanic and Latino population in Greenville?

Creating a diverse, yet welcoming community takes work, and Adela Mendoza is dedicating her life to creating an ecosystem of opportunity for Hispanic and Latino families. She has been recognized locally and nationally for the work she is doing for the Hispanic population of Greenville. Chris Manley, Engenius CEO, is sitting down with her to find out exactly what she is doing, how Greenville as a city is doing, and what we can do to help address the needs of Hispanic and Latino families in the area.

Mendoza is the Executive Director of the Hispanic Alliance and has worked as the Statewide Program Manager for the South Carolina Immigrant Victim Network. Mendoza was recently honored by Furman University’s Riley Institute Diversity Leaders, which honored her with their 2018 Outstanding Contribution to International Diversity Award.
