How to Pitch to Angel Investors Workshop
Venture Carolina invites you to The Westin Poinsett hotel in beautiful downtown Greenville, SC for a comprehensive workshop designed to equip economic developers, thought leaders, job creators, government officials, startup support professionals, and business champions with knowledge about angel investing and its impact on the sustainability of our business environment.
According to research by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, over the last 25 years all net new jobs were created by companies less than 5 years old. Angel Investors have a major impact on early-stage company growth and job creation because they provide nearly 90% of all outside equity for startups. Leaders in our region can increase the value of their services to our ecosystem when they can more effectively advise on how and why angel investors behave the way they do.
The full day workshop covers the following five modules: (1) An overview of angel investing, (2) Due diligence, (3) Valuation of early stage companies, (4) Case studies, and (5) How to connect to angels.
The workshop is hosted in conjunction with the annual VentureSouth Summit and features content from the Angel Resource Institute.
