Jada returned to Greenville after graduating from Georgetown School of Law. As a language access attorney for South Carolina Legal Services, she is a constant champion for the deaf and blind and those who cannot speak, read or write English. Jada writes for Spanish language newspapers and can be heard regularly on Spanish-language radio. She also speaks about the issues facing human trafficking victims, who are often immigrants. She has worked with numerous organizations on behalf of the limited English proficient, deaf and blind to insure they receive the same level of services provided to other individuals. She is a member and legal advisor of Beauty Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a fraternal service organization. She is leader of the Young People’s Department at African Methodist Episcopal Church and works with the Young Adult Ministry to develop Latino/African-American relations. Her nominator says, “Her commitment inspires everyone around her to demand excellence of themselves and our community in working with these populations.”
