Griffin Bell
Age 35
Attorney and Founding Partner
Bell Carrington, LLC
Wake Forest and USC Law graduate Griffin Bell attributes his current success as an entrepreneur to the “on the job” training he received working for his father’s business, Palmetto Chemicals, and at one of Greenville’s best law firms, Smith Moore Leatherwood. Those jobs “gave me the desire and technical skill to form and run my own business,” he says. Through the real estate side of his law practice, he has assisted more than 500 clients in acquiring or refinancing property in Greenville County and helps other companies with corporate restructuring, financing and formation issues. Building on a community service desire instilled in him by his mother, Griffin is currently serving as chairman of the board for the Neighborhood Housing Corporation, a non-profit devoted to providing affordable housing. He has served on the board of the Red Cross since 2009 and on the board for the United Way Young Philanthropists since 2006. He most recently enjoyed teaching second graders about career choices through a program of Junior Achievement.
