A Clemson University and Harvard Law School graduate, Rita Bolt Barker focuses her legal practice on general litigation with an emphasis on environmental and insurance coverage issues. Her varied environmental experience includes advising clients on matters arising under the Endangered Species Act, the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, the Clean Water Act and the SC Pollution Control Act. She has taught administrative law for Clemson’s Master of Public Administration program and chairs the Wyche firm’s Recruiting and Green Committees. She is a member of the environmental sections of the American, Georgia and South Carolina Bar Associations and serves on the City’s Green Ribbon Advisory Committee and Friends of the Reedy River board of directors. She is chair-elect of the Greenville Forward board of directors. She is also a Clemson University Libraries Ambassador, Clemson Center for the Visual Arts volunteer, Upstate Forever volunteer and graduate of Leadership Greenville and Furman Connections. Rita and her husband Jacob have two daughters, Madeline and Eliza.
