Greenville, SC, January 13, 2014 – The husband and wife team of Lura D Godfrey, AIA and Mark T Godfrey, AIA, LEED AP BD+C would like to announce the formation of their new business venture, LMG Architects, LLC as of January 1. The new architecture firm will focus on a mix of residential and commercial projects. Lura started the company as LDG Design in Atlanta in 2005, prior to the couple moving to Greenville in 2006. They designed and constructed their house on West Stone Avenue as an EarthCraft House in 2007. It was designed with a home office which will continue to serve as a home for the new company.

Lura and Mark have 32 years combined experience in the architectural profession – 16 years combined as registered architects in Georgia and South Carolina. Lura has extensive experience with single-family additions, remodels and new construction as well as other past experience with church and school projects. Mark has extensive retail, restaurant and small commercial project experience as well as other past experience in industrial, hospitality, and municipal parks and recreation work. Mark has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2006 and has recently completed his term as Chair of the US Green Building Council, SC Chapter.
