Southern Way Catering
Whether Columbians’ tastes run to filet mignon, shrimp and grits, or beef stroganoff, Southern Way Catering provides a range of upscale and casual dinners, boxed lunches, hors d’oeuvres, and decadent desserts for Midlands events. Owner and President Jimmy Stevenson, along with his business partners, opened Southern Way Catering in 1982 to provide catering services offsite and at the company’s two venues – Leaside on Garner’s Ferry Road, a reception hall and ballroom, and The Millstone at Adams Pond on Bluff Road, a restored 1700s era estate. The company has a growing client roster of brides, companies, individuals, and even governors and U.S. presidents celebrating special occasions. Stevenson has his hand in other restaurant ventures in town, including Doc’s Barbeque and Southern Buffet and Mrs. B’s, a “meat and three” venue in West Columbia.
