AAF Greenville Announces 2012 ADDY Winners

Greenville, S.C. (February 20, 2012) – The 2012 ADDY® Award winners were announced at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Greenville’s annual awards gala held at Zen, downtown Greenville, on Feb. 18, 2012. An ADDY Award is the advertising industry’s most prestigious creative achievement award.  

Best of Show and top honors went to Erwin Penland Advertising for their “Knob Creek Gun Range Poster Campaign” created for Knob Creek Gun Range. Woodward & Zwolinski Advertising earned a Mosaic Award for Body of Work done for The Grove and a Special Judge’s Award in the Interactive – Website, Consumer HTML Services Category for GoGrove.com. Erwin Penland earned a Special Judge’s Award in the Public Service – Non-Traditional category for their Furry Purring Poster for the Greenville Humane Society.  

Other winners included Cargo, Slant Media, PECULIAR Productions, Jackson Marketing Group, Ferebee Lane + Company, Photoelectric, GHS Children’s Hospital, the bounce agency, and Synnex Corporation. 

With more than 200 pieces entered in 100+ categories, AAF Greenville’s entries were strong in both number and content. Entries were judged by industry professionals Sandra Lawton, Creative Director at Fry Hammond Bar in Orlando, FL; Matt Manfull, Associate Creative Director at Rare Method in Salt Lake City, UT; and Bonn Banwell, Creative Director at Red Circle in Minneapolis, MN.  

The three-tier ADDY competition recognizes achievement on a local, district and national level. Local level entries that earned a Gold ADDY will advance to the Third District judging competition held in Greenville, SC, on March 23-24, 2012. District level Gold winners will then advance to the national competition and be honored at the National Awards Show during June’s annual AAF National Conference held in Austin, TX.
