Greenville, SC – On February 16, 2012, Greenville Family Partnership (GFP) inducted new officers and new board members to the GFP Board of Directors during its Annual Meeting at the Poinsett Club. GFP will begin the year with new officers taking the lead and three new board members joining a 27-member existing board in their commitment to making a difference in the lives of the youth and families in Greenville County.
The new officers of the GFP Board of Directors are Lynda Leventis-Wells, Director of Carolina Institute for Community Policing, GFP Board President; Julie Carson Bayne, Carson's Nut-Bolt & Tool, Inc., GFP Vice President; Mark Thornburgh, MorganStanley Smith Barney, returning GFP Board Treasurer; Holli Hargett, Hargett Resources, returning GFP Board Secretary; Bill Hawkins and Jim Roten, Committee Chairs of the 2012 Red Ribbon Classic Golf Tournament; Christine Burnikel and Jodi LaValla, Committee Chairs of the 2012 Red Ribbon Party/Auction; and Jane Leo, Chair of Red Ribbon Scholarship Committee. Pam Wessel of Immedion is outgoing GFP Board President. She has served in this capacity for three years and has been a GFP Board Member for over 10 years.
The new board members of the GFP Board of Directors are Geri Guy, a teacher at Carolina High School; John Sanders, MD, a retired orthopedic surgeon; and Jake Van Gieson of NAI Earle Furman.
