Greenville, S.C. — The South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation (SCOCF) recently launched a new website dedicated to supporting women in the fight against ovarian cancer. The new website can be viewed at http://www.scovariancancer.org/.

Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., SCOCF serves patients and survivors throughout the state. The foundation’s mission statement is now clearly stated on the website homepage:

“We are dedicated to improving the health of women through education on the warning signs of ovarian cancer, support of those diagnosed with the disease and promotion of ovarian cancer research.”

The redesigned website has several key features that assist in this mission. The homepage incorporates a feed of recent news from the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, a global organization which advances research on the disease. Also linked to the homepage is a portal for SCOCF to accept donations through the widely-trusted payment platform, PayPal.

Throughout the website, visitors can find answers to their most pressing questions, like the symptoms of ovarian cancer and where to begin with a new diagnosis.

Visitors can also explore the “Events” page to learn about any one of the upcoming SCOCF-sponsored events, including the signature fundraising event, Handbags for Hope.

“We have already heard from several people that the website is much easier to use,” reports Executive Director Helen Fields. “If we can help even just one woman to feel like she isn’t walking this path alone, then we have done our job.”

The Foundation selected SHIFT Marketing Communications to redesign the website as well as revamp several pieces of marketing collateral and streamline the foundation’s image with the creation of a Brand Standards Guide.

The South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. SCOCF was created by ovarian cancer patients, healthcare providers, and other concerned individuals to support women in the fight against ovarian cancer.
