McCallum Sweeney Consulting (MSC) announced the recent promotion of three staff members: Lindsey Cannon, Beth Land, and Amanda Taylor. “McCallum Sweeney Consulting continues its strong growth and these promotions reflect the success we have had as a company in general, and the strong contributions of these staff members in particular,” states Mark Sweeney, Senior Principal.
Lindsey Cannon has been promoted to principal. Cannon will oversee the firm’s economic development practice which primarily consists of site readiness activities in addition to managing site selection projects in the office sector. Ms. Cannon has been with MSC since 2008.
Cannon has earned a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, both from the University of South Carolina.
Mark Sweeney, Senior Principal, remarks “Lindsey’s expertise in site selection and economic development has led her to this leadership position at McCallum Sweeney Consulting. Under her direction, MSC’s site readiness activities have established themselves as the standard in the industry. There have only been three Principals in MSC’s 16-year history, so this is a significant accomplishment and promotion.”

Beth H. Land has been promoted to Senior Consultant. In this role, Ms. Land will work directly with clients seeking new locations for facilities. She will become the primary point of contact on projects and manage external and internal resources to assist MSC clients in making the most informed decisions to select the optimal location for their new facilities. Ms. Land joined MSC as a Consultant in September 2014.
Ms. Land has a Masters in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, minoring in German.
“Beth has grown rapidly since joining McCallum Sweeney Consulting. Her strong relations with clients as well as her attention to detail on siting and site readiness projects are the reason Beth achieved the Senior Consultant designation,” noted Mark Sweeney, Senior Principal

Amanda Taylor has been promoted to Senior Consultant/Director of Research. In addition to still providing direct support on site selection projects, Ms. Taylor will be overseeing all the data and research responsibilities for MSC in her new role. This includes leading an important strategic effort to strongly advance MSC’s information and communication capabilities.
Ms. Taylor received a Master of City and Regional Planning from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Geography and Economics.
Mark Sweeney, Senior Principal, commented, “Amanda has been an outstanding Senior Consultant working on major site selection projects as well as site readiness programs. In her new position, Amanda will lead a major upgrade in MSC’s strategic research and communication capabilities in support of site selection, site readiness and MSC business development.”
