HTC Rezound

The HTC Rezound is one Android phone that is all about the sound. Sure it’s a smart smartphone, offering a 720 pixel HD display, but it’s the first phone I’ve received with not just a decent pair of earbuds, but really good ones. The HTC Rezound has Beats Audio built in and arrives with a Beats Audio headset as well. They sound great, look great, and actually sound good when you’re making calls as well. It’s the first time I’ve ever had anyone tell me how good I sounded when on a headset. While everyone may be talking about the Razr and the Nexus, the ReZound is a phone that I think will delight much of the Android crowd. For starters, it’s got good nerd cred. It comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm CPU, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing cam, 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB microSD card as well. That’s more than anyone should ever need. Plus, the phone actually feels great in your hand. It’s got a rubbery back and a convex shape that makes the phone easy to hold on to. It might be just me, but I liked the feel a lot. The phone comes with the HTC Sense 3.5 interface loaded on top. This aggravates some purists and delights those who love to get their phone tricked out in advance. The widgets are beautiful as always and if anyone sees even the weather and time display over your shoulder, they will want to know more about the phone. It looks good. It might even make you look good. One last thing about this phone that matters to me more than some others – the camera is quick and takes great pictures. I already mentioned it’s 8 MP, but more importantly, it is the most responsive Android phone I can remember. It focuses pretty quickly and gets the shot when some other phones are still loading up the camera app. That makes one more thing about this phone that I like a lot.
