On Monday, September 19th, Apple Gold Group, a franchisee of Applebee’s Grill and Bar and their South Carolina team, gathered for their 11th annual Chip In For Wishes golf tournament benefiting Make-A-Wish South Carolina. While there, they presented Make-A-Wish South Carolina with proceeds from the company’s annual fundraising efforts, a gift of more than $196,000.
With this donation, Make-A-Wish South Carolina will be able to grant approximately 26 additional wishes to children in the state who have life-threatening medical conditions in order to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy.
Bill Tiller, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina said, “I am deeply grateful for the generous contribution from Applebee’s again this year. Applebee’s has been – and continues to be – a pillar of support for Make-A-Wish South Carolina. The investment made by Applebee’s company, staff and associates, and supportive guests is substantial, meaningful and transformational in the lives of courageous children facing life-threatening medical conditions. We are thankful and proud to be partners with Applebee’s.”
The check was accepted on behalf of Make-A-Wish by two wish kids, five-year-olds Jaxson and Mason, who both received their wishes to go to Walt Disney World Resort.
