The Greenville Chamber received numerous awards at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) 2019 Annual Convention in Long Beach, Calif.

The Greenville Chamber received two “Awards of Excellence” in the Communications Excellence awards program; Julie Alexander, the Chamber’s former Senior Investor Development Manager, received a Gold Level Lifetime Sales Achievement Award; and Ben Haskew, former Chamber president/CEO, was recognized as a Life Member.

ACCE’s annual Awards for Communications Excellence program is designed to showcase top communications and marketing work of chambers of commerce and similar organizations across the nation. The Greenville Chamber’s award-winning submissions included the 2018 Investor Marketing Materials (Advertising and Marketing category) and the 2018 Online Tier Selector (Digital category). The Chamber partnered with local agency BRIGHT+CO on the development of both tools.

Julie Alexander received Gold Level recognition in the Lifetime Sales Achievement Awards program. The awards program recognizes lifetime achievement in chamber membership sales. To qualify, chamber sales professionals must achieve 1,000 transactions or $500,000 in sales.

Ben Haskew received the Life Member award, ACCE’s pinnacle award bestowed on those who retire after stellar careers in chamber leadership. The award grants member-for-life status to honorees. Haskew served as president/CEO of the Greenville Chamber for twelve years and served the chamber industry for more than 40 years.

According to Chamber President/CEO Carlos Phillips, “This is a great honor for our organization. We are proud of the team for their dedication to continuously pursuing excellence and we hope that commitment to quality and innovation is felt in everything that we do.”
