Tindall Corporation Establishes New Engineering Office In Duncan

Tindall Corporation has relocated its corporate engineering team to a new office in Duncan. The building provides ample space for future growth and expansion of the company’s design and engineering capabilities.

“This is an exciting time for our team,” said Mary Ann Griggas-Smith, engineering manager at Tindall. “This move supports our strategy for growth and our commitment to providing an abundance of opportunity for our in-house engineering team.”

The Tindall engineering team officially moved into their new office located at 1320 Howell Road on March 18, 2019. The team will continue to provide engineering and design support to Tindall’s six divisions that serve the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and South-Central United States.

This move comes after a fire damaged part of Tindall’s corporate building in late January of this year, rendering the workspace uninhabitable. The corporate engineering team was displaced to an office training facility next to Tindall’s headquarters prior to relocating to Duncan. Although the fire did expedite the relocation process, the corporate engineering team had been planning to move off-site to accommodate a rapidly expanding team.

“The Duncan office starts a new chapter for Tindall,” said Kelly Scheib, vice president of human resources. “With more space to design and collaborate, we will be able to bring even more engineering work in-house and achieve our strategic growth plans.”

Tindall’s new engineering office is a stand-alone building sitting between both residential and commercial spaces with approximately 10,000-square-feet, large enough to accommodate 50+ employees. The building, originally designed and built for an engineering firm, adopts a modern design aesthetic with abundant natural lighting. The space offers flexible, shared working areas, and 15 traditional, private offices.

Tindall purchased the space and worked with Ben Hines of Spencer/Hines Properties. The seller was Naval Yards, represented by Garrett Scott, John Montgomery, Brockton Hall, and Ralph Settle of Colliers International in Spartanburg.
