Feb 12, 2019 11:02AM ● By Kathleen Maris

Bishops Cuts and Color, a Portland-based unisex hair care shop offering quality service at affordable prices, is opening its first South Carolina location in Simpsonville. Bishops Simpsonville, located at the intersection of Woodruff Road and Hwy 14, boasts highly trained stylists ready to make clients feel their very best. From the locally produced mural artwork featured on the walls to the music to the variety of cuts and color offered, Bishops creates an environment where individuality is celebrated, further strengthening a diverse community.

“This is more than a place to get a haircut; it’s a full-on experience,” said CEO Leo Rivera. “The a-la-carte hair care menu caters to all ages and genders and lets clients choose their own hair adventure.”

Customers can expect a laid-back atmosphere, enjoying early MTV-style music videos on the specially curated Bishops TV platform while sipping a free beer (for those over the age of 21) from local breweries. With a finger on the pulse of the Upstate’s busy business community, Bishops offers convenient walk-in scheduling that adapts to the client’s schedule, not the other way around, and provides an extensive list of services, from the traditional haircut and color to blow outs and styling, as well as beard trims and plex treatments. For the environmentally conscious, Bishops offers vegan color products by Pulp Riot.

Community involvement is a key component of the Bishops brand, which has supported many national nonprofits including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Diabetes Association. Bishops Simpsonville looks forward to partnering with other local nonprofits, including the Boys & Girls Club of Greenville County.

“When we decided to bring Bishops to the Upstate, we knew it was important to immerse ourselves into helping shape a community where we’ve made our home,” said Bishops Simpsonville franchise owner and Carolinas native Kevin Trexler. “The Bishops brand is dedicated to celebrating differences, giving back, and making people feel amazing. We are committed to bringing that to the Carolinas, beginning here at our shop on Woodruff Road.”

Bishops Cuts and Color is open for business seven days a week as of February 9th, 2019. Find out more information about Bishops Cut and Color online at www.bishops.co and on Facebook @Bishops (Simpsonville).
