Jan 22, 2019 11:10AM ● By Kathleen Maris

Greenville Chamber’s Leadership Greenville Class 45 is hosting a Sponsor Reception at Project Host Thursday, January 17th to raise funds to support important updates to the Project Host building. The reception will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and will feature small plates from local restaurant sponsors including The Anchorage, The Cliffs, and GB&D.

In addition to alleviating hunger in the community, Project Host also provides career training in hospitality and culinary arts for unemployed and underemployed people. Some graduates of the culinary school will return to serve at the event.

“Project Host helped me become all I can be knowing how the food service industry works,” says Gregorio “V” Caraballo. Caraballo graduated from Project Host’s CC Pearce Community Culinary School in 2016 and is now employed at GB&D. He will return for the reception.

Through funds raised at the reception, the team will be able to implement updates to Project Host’s exterior, including new signage, bike racks, a colorful mural, and landscaping to create a welcoming environment for all patrons and to foster community awareness of the important work being done by Project Host.
