Greenville-based SimpliPhy, Inc. recently received a $200,000 SC Launch, Inc. investment. This is the first investment for the company that was accepted into SCRA’s entrepreneurial program, SC Launch, in early 2017.

SimpliPhy is a cloud-based application that simplifies physician compensation for healthcare organizations and reduces the cost to process physician pay. The product eliminates inefficiencies, prevents overpayment errors, and provides modeling tools to ensure compliance. Prior to the SC Launch, Inc. investment, the company received two grants from SCRA that helped launch their beta product.

“SCRA has played a key role in bringing an important tool for healthcare providers to market,” said John Holmes, SimpliPhy Managing Partner. “Their investment allowed us to scale to a national level and to begin working with healthcare systems in several states.”

“We began working with the leadership team at SimpliPhy early on and are very proud of their growth,” said Jill Sorensen, SCRA Director of Entrepreneurial Programs and Executive Director of SC Launch, Inc. “The company has developed a great product and secured a customer base that is rapidly growing.”

SCRA is a state-chartered organization that fuels job creation and grows South Carolina’s innovation economy. Through SC Launch, early-stage companies are provided mentoring and grants and may be eligible for an investment from SC Launch, Inc. The SC Launch program is open to qualified South Carolina companies in the Advanced Materials/Manufacturing, Information Technology and Life Sciences sectors.
