Kwame Jackson, nationally-known entrepreneur, business consultant, and finalist on NBC’s “The Apprentice,” will speak on the Furman University campus Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. in Burgiss Theater in Trone Student Center.

His talk, “The Power of Diversity in the Global Workforce,” is free and open to the public. The program is sponsored by Furman’s chief diversity officer, The Malone Center for Career Engagement, Center for Inclusive Communities, The Riley Institute, Furman Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Furman University NAACP, Furman Division of Student Life & Academic Affairs, and Student Diversity Council.

Jackson’s talk will provide insight into the current understanding of diversity and inclusion by discussing the role of identity and culture as important facets of leadership in a global marketplace.

He regularly addresses universities and executive management teams at Fortune 500 companies on topics such as leadership, team-building, and surviving while thriving in the workplace. A regular contributor to CNN and other media outlets, Jackson has presented at top tier colleges including the University of Michigan, Harvard, Morehouse, and Tufts, as well as consulted with corporations such as American Express, J.P. Morgan, Eli Lilly, and General Electric.

Jackson holds a bachelor’s in business administration from UNC Chapel Hill and a master’s from Harvard Business School. His professional experience includes co-founding several internet start-ups during his time at Harvard, sales marketing roles at Procter & Gamble, and, most recently, on Wall Street as an investment manager for Goldman Sachs.
