Greenville-based Southern Tide, a brand that continues to evolve and reinvent the boundaries of coastal Southern style, has announced plans for Island Sport’s next signature store opening in Savannah, Ga. Located downtown in the new Three Muses Hotel in the Plant Riverside District, the store is set to open in late spring 2019. With this new store, Island Sport looks to bring Southern Tide’s coastal charm and laid-back lifestyle to the Savannah River Walk.

“We could not be happier with the growth of our Southern Tide Signature Store program,” said Christopher Heyn, Southern Tide CEO. “Our strategic relationship with Island Sport continues to thrive as we partner with them for their fourth store opening in downtown Savannah. We are honored to take this next step in bringing our coastal lifestyle to the community and are delighted to have Island Sport join the Kessler family as part of their development.”

The new store will be approximately 1,600 square feet. Island Sport and Southern Tide will be one of a highly curated group of retail stores inside the hotel.

Located directly on the Savannah River, the store will feature men’s, women’s, and kid’s apparel and footwear, as well as accessories. The continued growth of the brand has helped enable Southern Tide to create a successful wholesale business now selling to more than 850 accounts in 45 states, as well as increasing its e-commerce revenue and building a well-developed presence in the clothing and accessories industry.

Loren Beadle, owner of Island Sport, said, “This was a compelling next step for Island Sport and Southern Tide. After we saw such success in our Kiawah Island and Greenville stores in South Carolina and our store in Naperville, Ill., it only seemed right to expand our efforts to Savannah. The Plant Riverside District and the Three Muses Hotel had everything we are looking for in a location, and the partnership with the Kessler Collection just seemed like the perfect fit.”
